It’s an exciting time

It’s an exciting time to be part of the growing beauty industry.

Teaching Methods

We utilize Milady’s Standard curriculum for all our courses. A comprehensive library of references, periodicals, books, texts, DVD’s and audio/video tapes are available to support the course of study and supplement the students’ training. Students should avail themselves of the opportunity to use these extensive materials.

Students also have access to CIMA, Milady’s digital textbooks, step by step resources, workbook handouts.

Distance Learning

Eligible students may participate in a distance learning program to complete the state-required theory hours as approved by their state of enrollment. Distance learning will not include any practical or hands on skills, this work must be done on campus and is limited to theory or bookwork based on each state’s participation and regulations. There are no additional fees charged by the school to participate in the distance learning program. A valid email and internet access via a computer (Windows or Chrome) or mobile device (Android or Apple) are required to participate in distance learning. There is no additional fees charged to the student for distance learning.

Distance learning students will validate learned knowledge with the classroom instructor by measurable participation in clock hour and competency-based skills for the program of enrollment;

All assessments that will be used for calculating a student’s GPA must be executed while the student is physically on campus;

The student will participate in learning activities while physically present at the contracted campus at least once every 10 business days for the length of a scheduled class day as outlined in the enrollment contract;

All transcripts or other documents (official or unofficial) will list and identify all academic attainment received as on-campus or as distance education.

General Cost of Attendance

In addition to tuition and fees for education, students face monthly living costs for room, board, personal expenses and transportation while enrolled in school. Students living with parents can expect the monthly living costs of approximately $811. Students living independently can expect approximate monthly living costs of $1583. Students with dependent children must also consider reasonable child care costs. It is important to remember, however, that room, board and personal expenses occur whether or not an individual is enrolled in career education.

Course Costs and Payment Terms

For each course offered at the school will include a Registration Fee Kit charges and Tuition charges. The applicable textbook(s) and uniform are included in the kit. Cosmetology students will be issued their kit after completing 240 hours of training. Esthetics/Esthetician and Manicure students will be issued their kit on their start day for use during their entire course of training. For more information regarding uniforms and kits, please refer to that section of this catalog. Specific costs for each course offered can be found on the addendums of the Catalog.

Each course has been scheduled for completion within an allotted time frame. It is not realistic to expect to receive an education for free.

The school has reserved space, equipment, and licensed instructors for you. In the event that the student fails to satisfactorily complete the course in the period of time specified in this agreement, then at the sole discretion of the school, the student may be permitted to pursue the course until completion, while adhering to the rules of the overtime policy. Overtime hours will be charged at a rate of $300 a week regardless of course, to be paid in advance on a weekly basis only, until graduation. Overtime charges will be assessed beginning with the first hour clocked after the ending date of the contract. The school may, at its option and without notice, prevent the student from attending class until the applicable unpaid balance is satisfied.

Any and all schedule changes to the students enrollment agreement will be assessed a fee of $100 for each and all changes. This fee is to be paid by cash prior to the Registrar/Director making any changes to the enrollment agreement. It cannot be added to your ledger card. In the event the schedule change is denied, the $100 dollar fee will be refunded to you.
